Minister Arayik Harutyunyan Met with Members of the IT Employers’ Union

RA Minister of Education and Science, Arayik Harutyunyan, met with the member organizations of the IT Union. During the meeting, the Union introduced its education programs to the Minister. It was noted that the IT Employers’ Union emphasized how fundamental education is. In this context,the parties discussed issues in education , employers’ suggestions were made , which according to Minister Arayik Harutyunyan would be taken into consideration during the process of professionalizing educational programs. Eduard Musayelyan, Executive Director of the IT Employers’ Union, introduced the business plan jointly developed with “Grant Thornton”,of the Armenian Institute of Advanced Technology. This year, the curriculum of the Armenian Institute of Advanced Technology has been publicly debated under the"New Generation Education" agenda and is included in the of mid-term programs list. Members of the Union expressed total eagerness to fully support changes to be made in the"Informatics" textbook utilized. A definite agreement on cooperation was reached on this issue, and it was decided to follow up with recurring meetings.
