The Minister Expressed Satisfaction with the Quality of the Construction Works

Today, the festive ceremony of reopening of a renovated High School in Noyemberyan was held, attended by RA Minister of Education and Science Araik Harutyunyan, who was in the Region of Tavush for the August consultations. He congratulated students, parents and teachers on having a comfortable and up-to-date school. In his speech, the Minister expressed satisfaction with the construction workers for the quality and timely implementation of the project.
The Noyemberyan High School has been renovated on the grounds of the "Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program" realized with the support of the World Bank. One building of the school has been renovated, 7 other buildings have been reinforced to withstand seismic stability, the playground of the school, football and tennis courts have been upgraded.
It is worth mentioning that this year four more renovated high schools in the Provinces (Ararat High School in the Region of Ararat, Metsamor High School N2 in the Region of Armavir , Hrazdan High School N1 in Kotayk Region and Martuni High School in the Region of Gegharkunik )will reopen their doors thanks to the “Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program”.
The Center for Educational Programs (PIU) has focused on the needs of high schools to organize the teaching of technical, Natural Sciences, and Humanitarian topics. It has been taken into account what types of classrooms and classroom equipments are needed for the school: laboratories for physics, chemistry, natural sciences, computer rooms, etc. Additionally, the renovation projects have respected the special needs of an inclusive education, that is, the buildings of the renovated schools have a customized environment for the student with special needs. Apart from the renovation of the main building, improvements have been made to the surroundings, sports arenas and gymnasiums have been built. The renovated schools were selected based on the criteria set by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia and approved by the World Bank, based not only on the evaluation of the building conditions, but also on the school construction date and the number of students.
