The Pan-Armenian 8th educational congress has started

Today, in Arno Babajanyan concert hall the Pan-Armenian 8th education congress has started. There are 120 participants from Armenia, Artsakh, and 24 Diaspora countries in the meeting.
The participants were welcomed by RA Minister of Education and Science, Arayik Harutyunyan, and the Minister of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Artsakh, Narine Aghabalyan. A message from RA Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan was also read.
While congratulating the participants, Arayik Hartutyunyan mentioned the importance of educational relationships between Armenia and Diaspora. He then continued that the 4-day congress is designed to tackle issues of education facing Diaspora. Then he continued "The Pan-Armenian 8th educational congress is taking place in an important period of time when we experience velvet revolution in Armenia. It is worth mentioning that the revolution is not over and we have many things to do. While dealing with education in the Diaspora, we should implement a new plan while taking into account the results of this congress. The problems are very diverse, but I believe that we will be able to address every single issue. "
RA Prime Minter stressed in his speech that he was happy to welcome the national education organizers and continued: "Every single educational institute abroad works hard to keep the Armenian language. Keeping our culture is crucial. Therefore, the Government should work hard."
For the start of the program, Catholicos of Holy See of Cilicia Aram I sent his blessings.
In her speech, Minister of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Artsakh, Narine Aghabalyan, mentioned that every single event happening in Armenia and Diaspora has a direct effect on the Republic of Artsakh: "Consequently, while doing anything, we should be careful because the children of Artsakh are targets for the enemy."
The congress will end on August 6. Plenary session and discussions will be on the agenda of the forum. During the plenary session, it is planned to have reports from the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, Arayik Harutyunyan, Minister of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Artsakh, Narine Aghababyan, Deputy Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, Davit Sargsyan, and the President of the Language Committee Davit Gyurjinyan. In different sub-commissions, there will be discussions about the issues concerning teaching Eastern and Western Armenian in Diaspora schools and teaching in non-traditional methods. There will also be discussions about extra curriculum activities, future partnerships, and the possibility of teaching Chess in Diaspora schools.
As a result of the forum, a communiqué will be released as a road map for the RA Ministry of Education and Scienc.
