Golden and Bronze Medals from the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics

Armenia's team of the European Junior Second Olympiad in Informatics, which took place from July 26 to August 1 in Innopolis, Russia, returned with two medals. A 9th grade student from "Quantum" College, Alexander Abelyan won the gold medal and Emil Kostanyan (9th grade) student in Physics and Mathematics Specialized School named after A. Shahinyan won the bronze medal.
80 contestants below the age of 15 from 21 European countries partook in the Olympiad. Armen Andreasyan, a lecturer from Yerevan State University, led the Armenian team, with its two competitors.
