Arayik Harutyunyan receives Ambassador of Japan to Armenia

Arayik Harutyunyan, RA Minister of Education and Science, received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia Jun Yamada.
The Minister of Education and Science stressed the importance of the further development and deepening of Armenian-Japanese relations in the sphere of education. He emphasized that the new government offers big opportunities for the exchange of programs and accumulated experience within the framework of cooperation with Japan in the sphere of education, the latter being considered a priority. Presenting the upcoming reforms in this sphere, Arayik Harutyunyan highlighted the importance of cooperation in the sphere of general education, particularly aimed at the seismic safety of schools, “Green Schools”.
Ambassador Yamada, in his turn, thanked for the cooperation in this field and assured, that he would spare no effort in enhancing Armenian-Japanese cooperation in the sphere of education and science.
The interlocutors considered the deepening of cooperation in the sphere of general education, higher education, science, as well as in the field of natural sciences and information technologies quite perspective.
During the meeting the parties discussed a range of issues related to the further cooperation.
