The Winter Holidays Will Begin on December 24th

For the Secondary Schools of the RA, the winter holidays will begin on December 24th. According to the “Standard educational curricula of the 2018-2019 academic year of educational institutions such as basic, general, specialized and special state programs of general education”, the winter holidays for 3rd through 12th graders will begin on the 24th of December, 2018 and last till January 6th, 2019 included. The winter holidays for the first and second graders will begin on the 24th of December, 2018 and last till January 20th, 2019 included. It should also be mentioned that according to the RA law on Holidays and Memorial holidays of the Republic of Armenia, the days following Christmas Day and Easter, commonly known as Remembrance Day of the Dead, observed on the 7th of January, which is a non-working day. Hence, the classes in the secondary educational institutions will start on the 8th of January, 2019.
