With the Expectation of Strengthening the Scientific-Educational Cooperation Between Armenia and Kazakhstan

The Deputy Minister of the RA Ministry of Education and Science received the delegation headed by the Rector of the Eurasian National University and the academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erlan Sidikov, who was in Yerevan on a working visit. During the meeting, the Parties discussed issues related to the development of the cooperation in education and science between Armenia and Kazakhstan. They underlined the fact that the potential in education and science is used inefficiently. In this context, the Deputy Minister of the RA Ministry of Education and Science highlighted the importance of strengthening the inter-university relations and the implementation of the joint scientific programs. Referring to the results of the working visit, the Rector, E. Sidikov informed that a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran), which is the first important step towards expanding the cooperation. The Parties also discussed the issues of forming a council of rectors of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, creating joint scientific laboratories and publishing translated literature in the individual languages of the member states. The students’ exchange and mobility issues were also highlighted.
