Harutyun Marutyan was Elected As a Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute

Today, the Board of Trustees of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute held its regular meeting headed by the President of the Board Raymond Gevorgyan.The issue of director’s election was on the agenda of the meeting in which 13 out of 15 members of the Board were present. Four candidates were nominated for the vacant position of Director of the Museum-Institute - Harutyun Marutyan, Hayk Demoyan, Armen Asryan and Stepan Stepanyan. For around 3 hours,the members of the Board of Trustees got acquainted with how the candidates envisioned the development of the museum. A Q&A segment was followed. As a result, Harutyun Marutyan,an ethnographer,a Doctor of Historical Sciences, was elected by secret ballot as the Director of the museum. 11 members of the Board voted for the latter and 2 members for Hayk Demoyan.
