The session was attended by Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan, deputy ministers, representatives of MoES general education division, NCET and schools.
As a follow-up to the RA Government instruction the working group analyzed the methodological approaches and the productivity of telecommunication tools used during the distance learning lessons. A proposal was made to develop a concept of distance learning organization and a detailed schedule to make the works more productive. According to the Minister there are actual outcomes in a number of sectors of education that require coordination and upgrading. The Minister noted that two aspects should be distinguished in facing up a problem: technical and methodical. A proposal was made to select 10 leading schools at the initial phase, which are willing to assist the educational institutions that need support.
Levon Mkrtchyan instructed to sum up and classify all the resources on electronic different platforms, so as to make it accessible for every school of the republic.
The working group reached an agreement that distance courses are not intended to replace the teachers but contribute to them.
