Culture of Technological Education as Basis of Cooperation

The Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan and Chairman of Information and Communication Technologies Employers AssociationArmen Badalyan, stressing the importance of ICT sector, as a key component and priority in the country's economic and technological progress, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
According to the memorandum, the two sides have reached a mutual agreement to take measures to improve the quality of ICT education in educational institutions in line with international standards and technological advancement, to enhance the cooperation between educational institutions and employers, as well as to increase competitiveness of RA through quality education. The two sides pledged to support each other in the implementation of joint projects, to contribute to the strengthening of communication and cooperation between the education institutions and employers in the ICT sector. According to the memorandum, the Ministry of Education and Science within its competence and capability will support to the organization and holding of the annual international conference Education-ICT, to the initiatives and programs of the Information and Communication Technology Employers Association.
ICT Employers Association with its expert input will participate in the development and improvement of ICT education in general and vocational education institutions, elaboration and enhancement of educational programs in ICT qualifications, training of teachers and professors of secondary, vocational and higher education institutions, and so on.
